May 14.

Lunch -

Russ and Daughters - 179 E. Houston St., Lower East Side
Sesame bagel with Wild Baltic Lox, cream cheese and tomato

Another weekend, another taste of heaven (see Apr. 9). This time around, I chose the Wild Baltic Lox, a champagne-colored salmon that, at $9.99 for a quarter pound, is the most expensive lox Russ and Daughters offers. Every rapturous bite justifies the cost though. The fresh, crispy tomato and delicious sesame bagel only add to the religious experience, reminding me why Saturday is the holiest day of the week for Jews. 9/10

Dinner -

Funky Broome - 176 Mott St., Nolita
Steamed Pork Buns with Crab Meat, Homestyle Pork-stuffed Lotus Roots Wok, Longan Iced Drink
